Manasquan Climbs in Political Polls-

The Capitol Steps

Saturday June 26

at Algonguin Arts

Satirizing politics via songs and skits since the Reagan years, the Capitol Steps provide an ever-changing comedic repertoire that tackles current events on an international scale. The original Steps were comprised of a group of Senate staffers looking to poke fun at their employers, and in the decades that followed members of Steps have racked up a collective 62 years of work experience in the House and Senate. Regardless of your political affiliation, the Capitol Steps promise an array of bipartisan zingers crafted to entertain audience members red and blue alike.

The Atlantic Highlands Yacht Club

Will host the annual Ms. Race Regatta
Saturday August 21, 2010 - 14:00 hrs

This charity race will benefit
180 Turning Lives Around

About The Race
The Ms. Race is an annual charity sailing regatta hosted by the Atlantic Highlands Yacht Club each August, to benefit 180 Turning Lives Around. It is a race sponsored by and for women, with the support of the AHYC race committee. The Ms. Race was inaugurated in 2005 by a group of female sailors who regularly participate and crew in the yacht club's Wednesday night race series. It has experienced increased popularity and presence since its inception.

Proceeds from the Ms. Race as well as other related special events throughout the year are donated to "180", a Monmouth County N.J. based private, non-profit organization dedicated to ending domestic violence and sexual assault in our community.

It is the hope and goal of the Ms. Race organization to increase participation in this year's Ms. Race regatta. Going forward, it is to be more than just a race, but an event. With that, all woman sailors, their boats and crews are encouraged and welcome to participate.

For more information on this race and the Atlantic Highlands Yacht Club, please visit their website at www.ahyc.net/msrace.htm
